About

A high-octane, rules-based portfolio that rotates among tech (leveraged), long Treasuries, gold, and a short-Nasdaq hedge, and briefly adds a VIX spike bet when markets look overheated. It also times bond trends (long or short) and sometimes boosts stock exposure.
NutHow it works
Two sleeves. Core “Four Corners” rotates among: QLD=2x Nasdaq (risk-on), TMF=3x long Treasuries (risk-off), GLD=gold, PSQ=short Nasdaq. When stocks look overheated (very high RSI across SPY/QQQ/IOO/sectors), it briefly adds UVXY (VIX) plus some TMF/GLD. Booster sleeve times bonds: if Treasuries trend up, hold TMF; if down, consider TMV=short Treasuries; if bonds aren’t attractive, use QLD/SPXL=3x S&P. High risk due to leverage.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: annualized return ~23.8% with max drawdown ~18.0% vs S&P ~16% return and ~18.8% drawdown. A rule-based Four Corners core plus bond booster and VIX hedge delivers higher upside with tighter downside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
