About

A rules-based “four corners” plan that shifts between tech beta (sometimes 3x), safety (Treasuries, gold), and hedges. It reacts to volatility, overbought/oversold, credit vs cash, and QQQ vs utilities leadership, with a constant contrarian utilities‑vs‑gold sleeve.
NutHow it works
It follows a playbook driven by simple signals: - If QQQ is very jumpy, split 50/50 between (a) QQQ or a QQQ short (based on a rates-vs-hedge signal) and (b) safety (long Treasuries + gold). - If not jumpy and QQQ is washed out, buy 3x tech/semis + safety. - If markets look stretched, pair a VIX hedge (UVXY) with staples (XLP). - Else, if QQQ beats utilities long‑term, use aggressive equity (often 3x) when credit beats cash; otherwise use market‑neutral/hedged. The other half always buys the laggard of utilities vs gold/miners.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: 41.4% annualized return, 1.41 Sharpe, and 17.35% max drawdown vs S&P 18.76%. Higher risk-adjusted growth with built-in hedges and regime-switching, aiming for stronger upside with less downside than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
