A simple monthly trend follower. It splits your money equally into U.S. stocks, international stocks, bonds, and commodities/real estate, then buys the recent winner in each bucket (based on ~8‑month gains) and holds until the next month.

Each month it splits money 25% into four buckets: U.S. stocks; international stocks; bonds; and commodities/real estate. In each bucket it picks the single ETF with the strongest ~8‑month gain from a preset list (e.g., SPY—big U.S. stocks; VEA/VWO—overseas; TLT/TIP/TMF—U.S. Treasuries; GLD—gold; VNQ—U.S. real estate). Hold until next month.
