About

Hold SPY most of the time. When fear spikes, move to Treasuries or, if gold is overheating during the panic, take a brief short gold trade. Built to soften flash crashes and big panics while staying invested otherwise.
NutHow it works
Every day it checks VIXM (an ETF tied to market “fear”). If fear has stayed very high for weeks, it parks in SHY (short‑term Treasuries) for a few days. If fear just spiked, it either hides in SHY or, if GLD (gold) is surging, it briefly shorts gold via GLL. Otherwise it holds SPY (the S&P 500).
CheckmarkValue prop
Risk-aware SPY strategy with built-in crash protection. Out-of-sample: ~21.94% annualized vs SPY ~22.99%; drawdown ~18.68% vs ~18.76%; Calmar ~1.17. SHY and brief GLL hedges reduce panic pain while staying invested.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
