About

A daily, risk-on/risk-off plan: keep small bond/dividend anchors and 10% cash, then steer the bulk by how “hot” or “cold” the S&P 500 looks—defensive when too hot, big-tech momentum in normal times, tiny leveraged bet when very cold.
NutHow it works
Rebalances daily and keeps ~10% in cash. Inside the rest: 5% short-term US Treasuries (VGSH) and 5% dividend growers (VIG). It uses an S&P 500 “heat meter” (RSI: 0–100; >70 very hot, <30 very cold). If hot: shift most into UnitedHealth and Costco. If cold: hold mostly cash/bonds and make a small bet in the 2 strongest of three 3x bull funds (tech/semis/S&P). Otherwise: put most into the 2 strongest big names (e.g., MSFT, AAPL, NVDA, AMZN, GOOGL, META, TSLA).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: higher upside and risk-adjusted gains than the S&P 500. oos return ~49% vs ~20%, oos Sharpe ~1.36 vs ~1.28, Calmar ~1.83. Stronger upside with risk controls; note larger drawdown (~26.7% vs ~18.8%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
