About

A daily, rules‑based, tech‑tilted strategy that rides uptrends with leveraged ETFs, hedges overheated markets with volatility and anti‑beta, and retreats to T‑Bills, inverse ETFs, or dynamic bond trades. Includes a small emerging‑markets sleeve.
NutHow it works
Daily it checks if markets are calm, hot, or falling using price “speedometers” (e.g., RSI), trend filters, and VIX. If uptrending, it rides with leveraged tech/S&P funds (TQQQ, SPXL) and short‑vol (SVXY). If overheated, it shifts to fear trades (UVXY) and BTAL. If weak, it moves to T‑Bills, inverse ETFs (PSQ/SH), or bonds. A bond sleeve flips TMF/TMV. A small sleeve trades emerging markets. Uses leveraged/vol funds—high risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: annualized return ~73% vs ~21% for the S&P; Sharpe ~1.39 vs ~1.15; Calmar ~2.89. Higher upside with higher drawdowns, but regime-based hedges and dynamic risk controls aim for superior risk-adjusted growth.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
