About

A daily, rules-based risk-on/risk-off strategy that times trends and extremes. It rotates among leveraged stock funds, volatility trades (UVIX/SVXY), Treasuries, and hedges using a 200‑day trend filter and a short-term heat gauge (RSI). Very aggressive.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks the market trend (price vs 200‑day average) and a heat gauge called RSI (0–100: high=hot/extended, low=cold/oversold). In uptrends it holds strong stock funds (TQQQ/SPXL); if things look too hot it flips to a fear‑spike trade (UVIX) cushioned by T‑Bills (BIL) and a defensive fund (BTAL). In downtrends it hedges (PSQ/SQQQ) or owns Treasuries (SHY/IEF/TLT). It also buys sharp dips.
CheckmarkValue prop
Capture outsized upside: oos annualized return ~57% vs SPY ~19%, with Sharpe ~1.10 and Calmar ~1.79. Dynamic risk-on/off and hedges seek big trends while aiming to control risk relative to the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
