About
A fast, rules‑driven strategy. In uptrends it rides stocks hard (often using leveraged tech/S&P funds). If prices get overheated or the uptrend fails, it flips fast into hedges: volatility (UVXY), anti‑beta (BTAL), Treasuries/T‑bills, or short ETFs. High risk, daily rebalanced.
Daily it checks the market’s long‑term trend (S&P 500 vs its 200‑day average). If uptrend: it leans aggressive (mainly tech/S&P funds, often leveraged). If short‑term “heat” is extreme (RSI ≈ a speed/heat gauge), it swaps to crash buffers (UVXY) and a defensive long‑low‑beta/short‑high‑beta fund (BTAL). If the long‑term trend breaks, it goes defensive: shorts tech, moves to Treasuries or T‑bills, or uses utilities/gold and volatility hedges. Each sleeve picks the strongest or safest option that day.
Regime-switching, risk-managed strategy designed to beat the S&P on risk-adjusted terms while limiting losses. OOS: max drawdown 11.2% vs SPY 18.8%; volatility ~0.18; Calmar ~0.92; positive alpha—downside protection with upside potential.
