A very aggressive trading strategy that shifts among leveraged stock, bond, and volatility funds based on short-term market momentum, fear, and trend signals.

This strategy is an aggressive market-timing system. It first checks if market fear is spiking using volatility products like UVXY and VXX. If fear is very high, it moves into VXX. If not, it looks at whether the US stock market and long-term Treasury bonds are trending up or down. Then it rotates into a single high-risk fund or a small basket of them—mostly leveraged bets on tech, semiconductors, the Nasdaq, the S&P 500, or Treasury bonds. It often buys either the strongest recent area or the area that just fell hard and may bounce.

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
