About

A daily tactical strategy that rides 3x tech/semiconductor uptrends, flips to VXX on overheated spikes, and shifts to cash, bonds, gold, or 3x inverse ETFs when trends weaken. Bond trends (TLT) decide whether long or short bonds are the safer defense.
NutHow it works
Daily it asks: Are stocks in an uptrend (SPY above long MAs)? If yes, it holds one strong 3x tech/semis fund (TQQQ/TECL/SOXL). If prices get “too hot” (RSI high or a big 1‑day jump), it briefly buys VXX (a fear trade). If trends weaken or drop fast, it moves to cash, bonds (TMF/TMV), gold, or 3x inverse funds (SQQQ/SOXS). TLT’s trend guides which bond side to use. RSI is a “speed meter”: high=hot, low=washed‑out. Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~32% annualized return vs SPY ~18%, Sharpe ~0.75, Calmar ~0.52. It targets big upside in tech rallies with 3x ETFs and hedges (VXX, bonds) for risk control. Higher upside, but larger crisis drawdowns possible.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
