A daily market-timing strategy that keeps 40% in cash and uses the other 60% to switch between volatility protection, dip-buying, Treasury bills, and bearish Nasdaq trades.
NutHow it works
This strategy puts 60% of money into a fast-moving trading system and leaves 40% in cash. It checks if major stock indexes and sectors have risen too far, too fast. If they have, it moves into a fear-based volatility fund (UVXY) and a defensive stock fund (BTAL). If markets have fallen hard, it buys leveraged stock funds for a rebound. Otherwise, it often sits in Treasury bills or, in weak markets, bets against the Nasdaq using inverse funds.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
