About

A daily, trend-driven, tech‑tilted system. If markets trend up, it buys growth unless they’re too hot (then it parks in cash/defensive). It buys big dips, compares tech vs managed‑futures (KMLM) to set risk, and in downtrends mostly shorts Nasdaq with tactical hedges.
NutHow it works
Daily: if the S&P 500 sits above its 200‑day average it’s “bull”; otherwise “bear.” In bull, if markets look too hot (RSI—a speedometer of recent gains vs losses—is very high) it parks in T‑Bills (BIL)/BTAL. If not, it favors high‑octane tech/semis (TECL/SOXL/TQQQ) when tech momentum beats KMLM (a trend fund), buys deep dips, mixes in SCHD, and uses VIX/bonds as hedges. In bear it mainly shorts Nasdaq (SQQQ/PSQ) but can flip long on sharp rebounds.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy shows superior risk-adjusted returns versus the S&P 500: OOS Sharpe ~1.34 vs ~1.01, Calmar ~2.64, with upside from a tech tilt and hedges plus regime switching to protect downside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
