About

Daily tactical strategy: trend filter sets bull vs bear. In bulls it rides tech (TECL/SOXL/TQQQ), shifts to a UVXY+BTAL hedge if overheated, or to SCHD+safety if tech lags. In bears it moves to inverse Nasdaq (SQQQ/PSQ). It also buys sharp dips.
NutHow it works
RSI is a 0–100 “heat” score of recent moves (high=hot, low=washed‑out). First it checks trend: if the S&P 500 is above its 200‑day average, it’s “bull”; else “bear.” In bull: if overheated, hedge (75% UVXY—volatility, 25% BTAL—low‑beta long/short). Otherwise ride tech via TECL/SOXL/TQQQ (3× tech/semis/Nasdaq); if tech lags, hold SCHD + safety (bonds, gold, commodities, KMLM—managed‑futures). Also buys big dips. In bear: use SQQQ/PSQ (inverse Nasdaq), guided by bonds.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers superior risk-adjusted returns vs the S&P (Sharpe ~1.30 vs 1.02; Calmar ~2.30) and strong upside (OOS ~85.8% vs 18.3%), via trend filters, hedges, and dip-buying.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
