About

Daily, rules-based strategy. If SPY is above its 200‑day trend, it hedges when markets look “too hot,” otherwise rides tech momentum and buys dips; if not, it shifts to dividends/safety. Below the trend, it shorts the Nasdaq. Uses leveraged/volatility ETFs.
NutHow it works
Step 1: If SPY is above its 200‑day average → Bull. Else → Bear. Bull: if a short‑term heat gauge (RSI = 0–100 of recent price speed) says markets are very hot (>~80 on SPY/IOO/TQQQ/VTV/XLF/VOX), shift to crash protection (UVXY) plus a defensive long/short fund (BTAL). Otherwise, if Tech leads (XLK beats XLP and trend fund KMLM), ride tech with 3x ETFs (TECL, SOXL, TQQQ) and buy deep dips (RSI <~30 in TQQQ/SOXL/UPRO). If not, use dividends (SCHD) and safety mixes (bonds, gold, commodities, volatility). Bear: short the Nasdaq (SQQQ/PSQ). Daily rebalanced; leveraged/vol ETFs = large swings.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe ~1.28 vs SPY ~1.01; Calmar ~2.23; annualized return ~83% vs ~18% for SPY. This strategy blends tech leadership with smart hedges to pursue higher growth with disciplined risk vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
