About

Daily, rules‑based risk‑on/risk‑off: parks in cash when markets are very hot, buys dips when oversold, then follows the 200‑day trend. In bull phases it holds leveraged stock funds unless a managed‑futures signal turns defensive; in bear phases it tilts to short QQQ or a long/short fund.
NutHow it works
Daily: 1) If markets look “too hot” by RSI (0–100; >79 very hot), park in SGOV (cash‑like T‑bills). 2) If some funds are “washed out” (RSI<30), buy 2x stock funds QLD or SPUU. 3) Else use the S&P 500 200‑day average (long‑term trend) to choose Bull or Bear. In Bull hold leveraged longs (ROM/SSO/QLD) unless KMLM (a trend‑following managed‑futures ETF) is rising, then flip to inverse funds (REW/SDS/QID). In Bear rotate among QID (short QQQ), CLSE (long/short), or QLD based on bond vs stock strength.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample strategy: ~63% annualized return vs SPY ~21%, higher Sharpe (~1.42) and Calmar (~2.97). Beta ~0.98; drawdowns ~21%. Strong upside with disciplined risk control versus the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
