About

A daily tactical sleeve: when markets look overheated, it hedges with a volatility fund (UVXY, sometimes with BTAL). When markets look washed‑out, it buys leveraged index ETFs (TQQQ/UPRO). Otherwise it parks in T‑Bills (BIL). Uses ~60% of the portfolio.
NutHow it works
Daily, it checks a 10‑day “hot/cold” score (RSI) on SPY, IOO, TQQQ, VTV, XLF, VOX, XLY. RSI: 0–100 gauge; high=hot/overbought, low=cold/oversold. If any look very hot (~80+): hedge—100% UVXY when extreme, else 75% UVXY/25% BTAL. If washed‑out (<30): buy the dip—TQQQ first, else UPRO. Else: hold BIL.<br~>60% of the portfolio.
CheckmarkValue prop
Adaptive tactical sleeve that hedges during heat, buys the dip when oversold, and stays in cash when neutral. Out-of-sample: 17.9% annualized return with Calmar ~0.79 and Sharpe ~0.57—a diversified, risk-conscious complement to the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
