A highly aggressive market-timing strategy that chases strong stock trends in good markets and rotates into volatility trades, bonds, hedges, or cash-like funds when markets look overheated or weak.

This strategy is a very active market-timing system. It first checks whether global trade looks healthy using BDRY, a shipping/freight fund. Then it asks if the U.S. stock market trend is strong or weak using long-term trend lines. If markets look strong, it buys whichever stock, sector, or leveraged fund has the best recent momentum. If markets look overheated or shaky, it shifts into hedges such as volatility funds, bond funds, anti-market funds, or cash-like Treasury funds.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
