About

A bear‑market, Nasdaq‑focused timing strategy. In uptrends it parks in T‑Bills. When the market weakens, it flips between long and short QQQ (sometimes 2×) using oversold/overbought readings and bond strength to pick direction and aggressiveness.
NutHow it works
It uses two simple tools: moving averages (avg price over 20/200 days) to spot trend, and RSI (0–100 gauge of recent buying vs selling; <30 = “washed out”). If SPY is above its 200‑day avg, it holds BIL (T‑Bills). If not, it trades the Nasdaq: go long (QQQ/QLD) on bond strength or deep oversold, otherwise short QQQ (PSQ/QID). Bond strength also dials 1× vs 2×. After big 60‑day drops, it may play a bounce.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, a risk-adjusted edge: Calmar 1.08 and max drawdown 16.5% vs SPY's ~18.8%, with 17.9% annualized return. Bond signals and Nasdaq timing offer smoother, more durable gains during downturns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
