About

A daily, bear‑market‑focused, rules‑based strategy: in uptrends it parks in T‑Bills; in downtrends it actively trades the Nasdaq‑100 long or short (sometimes BTAL) using recent declines, short‑term trend, and momentum signals.
NutHow it works
Daily check. 1) If SPY (S&P 500) is in an uptrend (above its 200‑day average), hold BIL (T‑Bills; cash‑like). 2) Otherwise, rotate in the tech‑heavy Nasdaq‑100 using QQQ’s up/down ETFs: go long (QLD/TQQQ) or short (PSQ/SQQQ) based on recent drops, a 20‑day trend, and short‑term strength (RSI = 0–100 gauge of recent buying vs selling). In sharp selloffs it may use BTAL (defensive). Bonds (BND/AGG/IEF) guide these choices.
CheckmarkValue prop
Defense-first strategy that stays in cash in bull markets and tactically uses Nasdaq-100 during drawdowns. Out-of-sample: ~17.95% annualized return with 16.45% max drawdown—better downside control than the S&P 500 and Calmar ~1.09.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
