About

A rules‑based bear‑market sleeve: usually sits in T‑bills; when the S&P 500 turns bearish it mostly shorts the tech‑heavy Nasdaq (PSQ/SQQQ) and occasionally rides rebounds (QQQ/TQQQ), steered by short‑term “hot/cold” scores, trend, and bond signals.
NutHow it works
First it checks for extremes: if key stock indexes look very hot (>79) or very cold (<30) on a short-term “hot/cold” score (RSI), it parks in T‑bills (BIL). If the S&P 500 is above its 200‑day trend, it also stays in BIL. If below, it mainly shorts the Nasdaq (PSQ/SQQQ) and sometimes flips long (QQQ/TQQQ) during rebounds. Short‑term trend (20‑day), 60‑day losses, and bond cues (TLT/IEF) guide those choices. Risk is sized by recent volatility.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: higher risk-adjusted growth than the S&P—annualized return ~28.6% vs 17.1%, Sharpe ~1.26 vs ~0.97, max drawdown ~13.9% vs ~18.8%, with positive alpha and negative market beta for hedged exposure.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
