About

A rules‑based, tactical strategy that tries to outperform by riding tech/Nasdaq uptrends (often with leverage) and quickly de‑risking to cash, bonds, dollar, or hedges when warning signs appear. Includes sector rotation and a small Bitcoin trend sleeve.
NutHow it works
Daily it checks two things: trend and “heat.” Trend = is the market above its long‑term average? Heat (RSI) = how hot/cold recent moves are. • If trend is healthy and not too hot, it rides fast‑growth funds (mostly tech/Nasdaq; sometimes 3x versions). • If stress appears, it cuts risk: moves to cash/T‑Bills, Treasuries, the US dollar, or takes short/volatility hedges. It also rotates into strong sectors or top S&P names. It’s aggressive; losses can be large.

Out-of-sample edge: OOS annualized return 105.7% vs SPY 22%; Sharpe 1.74 vs 1.40; Calmar 16.5. Leverages tech strength and quickly de-risks to cash/bonds/hedges, with negative SPY beta for diversification.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
