About

Daily, one-position swing strategy that flips between leveraged semiconductors/tech and safe havens using bond-market risk cues and a short-term hot/cold meter (RSI). Uses 2x/3x funds (SOXL, TECL, SOXS, SQQQ, UGE, CURE, TMF, UGL, AGQ, SHY). Very high risk.
NutHow it works
Daily, it reads quick hot/cold readings (RSI: low=cold drop, high=hot surge) on bonds and stocks, then holds one fund at a time. If inflation‑linked Treasuries (VTIP) are strong and rising, it buys the coldest of: staples 2x (UGE), healthcare 3x (CURE), long Treasuries 3x (TMF), gold 2x (UGL) or silver 2x (AGQ). Otherwise bonds set the tone: green = semis 3x (SOXL); too hot = short‑term Treasuries (SHY); red = inverse semis 3x (SOXS) or inverse Nasdaq 3x (SQQQ); neutral = semis 3x (SOXL) or tech 3x (TECL). Rebalances daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~173% annualized return, Calmar 5.44, Sharpe 1.80, beta -0.21. Despite ~32% max drawdown, it offers strong upside, hedged exposure, and unique risk-on/risk-off dynamics vs. the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
