About

Weekly, pick the best two among QLD (2x up Nasdaq), QID (2x up when Nasdaq falls), and GLD (gold) based on ~6‑month results, then size by recent calmness. Rebalanced weekly. Uses leveraged ETFs; expect high volatility.
NutHow it works
Each week, it looks back ~6 months to see which have done better: 1) QLD = a fund aiming for about 2x the daily UP move of the Nasdaq-100, 2) QID = a fund aiming for about 2x the daily UP move when the Nasdaq-100 falls (it rises when Nasdaq drops), and 3) GLD = gold. It then picks the best two and sizes them so the steadier one (over ~1 month) gets more weight. Rebalanced weekly. Warning: QLD and QID are leveraged; they can be very volatile and behave unexpectedly over time.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~28.8% vs S&P ~22%, lower drawdown (~10% vs ~19%), higher risk-adjusted return (Sharpe ~1.64), and low beta (~0.26). Weekly, rule-based mix of leveraged tech and gold targets steadier, higher growth than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
