About

80% core rides 3x stock indexes in calm markets, buys dips but hides in a safety mix when volatility rises. 20% sleeve tactically trades TQQQ (3x Nasdaq), hedging when overbought or in downtrends. Daily rules; backtested since 2010.
NutHow it works
Daily traffic‑light rules: when calm, use a growth mix—about 55% in 3x stocks (UPRO=3x S&P500, TQQQ=3x Nasdaq, sized by recent steadiness) and 45% in 3x long Treasuries (TMF). When markets get jumpy or stocks look weak (RSI: a 0–100 “heat” score), buy the dip in TQQQ/UPRO after ~‑5% weeks; otherwise sit in a safety mix (UUP dollar, GLD gold, XLP staples). Plus a 20% TQQQ sleeve: ride uptrends; hedge with SQQQ/UVXY or Treasuries (EDV/TMF) in overbought/bear phases.
CheckmarkValue prop
Offers higher upside than the S&P: out-of-sample return 55.37% vs 23.06%, Calmar 1.22, Sharpe 1.29. A volatility-aware core with a Nasdaq sleeve aims for growth while hedging, accepting bigger drawdowns for potential gains.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
