About
A very aggressive daily strategy that chases the strongest mega-cap growth stock or S&P fund, but steps into short-term Treasury bills when the market is only slightly weak.
Each day, the strategy first checks how the S&P 500 (through SPY) did over the last day.
If the market was up, it buys whichever of these did best that day: SPY, Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet/Google, Amazon, Tesla, Nvidia, or SPXL (a fund that aims to move about 3x the S&P 500).
If the market was down a little, it moves to BIL, a very low-risk short-term Treasury-bill fund.
If the market was down 1% or more, it again picks the best 1-day performer from that same growth-stock list.
Out-of-sample return: 28.53% vs SPY 17.89%; Calmar 1.13, Sharpe 1.04. Higher upside with controlled risk (drawdowns ~25%), using daily momentum in mega-cap growth plus tactical cash to beat the S&P 500.
