About

Own AAPL, MSFT, GOOGL, and AMZN only when each is in an uptrend and not overheated; otherwise sit in BIL (T‑bills). Equal-weight across the four sleeves and rebalanced daily. A cautious, rules-based trend approach to Big Tech.
NutHow it works
Each day the portfolio splits money evenly into 4 buckets: Apple, Microsoft, Google (Alphabet), and Amazon. For each stock: if the uptrend is intact (its 50‑day average price is above the 200‑day) and it isn’t overheated (an RSI score—how fast it’s been rising—is below 70), that bucket holds the stock. Otherwise it parks in BIL, a short‑term T‑bill fund. Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~13.3% annualized return with ~15% volatility, max drawdown ~13.1%, Calmar ~1.01, and Sharpe ~0.91. A low-beta (~0.5) mega-cap tech tilt with trend/RSI rules offers upside vs the S&P 500 with downside control.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
