A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

A daily, rule-based portfolio that either hedges with SH when volatility momentum is high, hedges with BTAL when BTAL shows strong momentum, or otherwise sits 50/50 in NVDA and LLY, with no SPXU/SQQQ and equal-weight styling among active assets.
NutHow it works
RSI is a momentum indicator that helps judge if a price move has run too far too quickly. The strategy rebalances daily and selects one of three modes: - If 40-day RSI on VIXM is above 69, include SH (short S&P 500) to hedge against a drop. - Else, if BTAL’s 10-day RSI (vs TQQQ) is above 79, include BTAL for a market-neutral hedge. - Else, allocate equally to NVDA and LLY. Weights are set so the chosen assets share the portfolio equally. The plan does not use SPXU or SQQQ.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 1.67 vs SPY 1.37; Calmar 2.55; annualized return ~64.6% vs ~23%. A disciplined three-mode rule-based approach—SH hedge, BTAL hedge, or NVDA/LLY—seeks bigger upside with controlled risk vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
