Every quarter it checks the last 60 days: if the total US bond market (BND) beat T‑bills (BIL), it’s “risk‑on.” If not, it’s “risk‑off.” • Risk‑off: put 100% in IEF (7–10Y Treasuries). • Risk‑on: pick the 2 best 90‑day performers from MDY (mid‑caps), QQQ (big tech), SHY (short Treasuries), UPRO/TQQQ (3x funds). Split 50/50. Leveraged funds are high risk.
