About

A daily, rule‑driven EM swing system that toggles between 3x long (EDC) and 3x short (EDZ) using trend, short‑term heat, bond‑vs‑stock risk gauges, and macro toggles. In strong US tech phases it may rotate into/hedge Nasdaq. Uses volatility overrides; very risky.
NutHow it works
It flips daily between a 3x bullish EM fund (EDC) and a 3x bearish EM fund (EDZ). It decides using: (1) EM’s long‑term trend (200‑day average), (2) short‑term “heat/speed” (RSI), (3) bond‑vs‑stock checks (IEI/IGIB vs IWM/SPY/EEM), and (4) macro toggles (cash/T‑bills SHV, inflation RINF). If US tech momentum is exceptional, it may rotate into or hedge Nasdaq (TQQQ/SQQQ). Volatility spikes (UVXY) or big QQQ drops trigger safety moves to hedges or T‑bills. This uses 3x ETFs and is very risky.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample return: ~28.9% annually vs SPY ~19.1%; Calmar 3.11 and beta ~0.56 indicate strong upside with lower market exposure. While max drawdown is higher (~9.3% vs 5.1%), the strategy offers superior risk-adjusted growth potential.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
