About

A daily, rules‑based trader. In uptrends it rides 3x tech/semis; when momentum overheats it hedges with short‑tech or VIX funds; on trend breaks it retreats to T‑Bills/treasuries/gold and re‑enters on deep dips. Very aggressive and high risk.
NutHow it works
1) First, it asks if the Nasdaq (QQQ) is in an uptrend (price above its ~3‑month average). 2) If yes: it usually buys high‑octane tech/semiconductor funds that move ~3x per day (TQQQ, TECL, SOXL; sometimes SVXY). It only does this while its “overbought/oversold” score (RSI: high=overheated, low=washed‑out) looks reasonable. 3) If things look too hot (very high RSI) or after a sudden pop, it flips to short‑tech or buys “fear” (UVXY/VIXY) to hedge. 4) If there’s a sharp dip, it can rotate into the strongest mega‑cap leaders (AAPL/MSFT/NVDA/etc.). 5) If the uptrend breaks, it mostly parks in cash‑like T‑Bills (BIL/SHV), Treasuries (TMF/TLT), or gold (UGL), and only nibbles at tech when deeply oversold. It uses volatility funds around panics, then goes back to cash. Rebalanced daily; very aggressive.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return: 37.66% vs 25.59% for the S&P; Calmar ~4.60 signals strong risk-adjusted growth. Dynamic hedges (VIX, bonds, gold) and trend-driven rotations aim higher long-run returns while actively managing drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
