EMA 12-26 Crossover Strategy (Public) v2

About

If stocks look overheated, it jumps into UVXY (a volatility spike play). Otherwise it buys the “coldest” of stocks, bonds, gold, EM, or volatility, but only if its 12/26 EMA trend is up—using leveraged funds; else it parks in T‑bills. Daily, high risk.
NutHow it works
Daily: 1) If a 10‑day “heat gauge” (RSI) on several stock/sector funds is very high (>75–80), it buys UVXY (jumps when volatility rises). 2) Else, among SPY (US stocks), TLT (long Treasuries), GLD (gold), EEM (emerging), VXX (volatility), it picks the one with the lowest 8‑day RSI. If its short‑term trend (12 over 26‑day EMA) is up and price is above its average, it buys a bull fund (e.g., SPXL/UGL/TMF); otherwise BIL (T‑bills). Rebalances daily. High risk (uses leveraged/volatility ETFs).
CheckmarkValue prop
Supercharged upside with risk controls: out-of-sample annualized return ~54.9% vs SPY ~29.4%, Calmar ~2.26, enabled by volatility hedges and dynamic asset-rotation. Expect higher drawdowns than SPY but stronger risk-adjusted long-term performance.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
