About

Daily, if stocks look overheated it buys a volatility spike fund (UVXY). Otherwise it trend-tests stocks, bonds, gold, EM, and volatility, then picks the least “hot” choice (often a 2–3x ETF like SPXL/TECL/TMF/UGL). High risk, frequent trading.
NutHow it works
Each day it first checks if many stock funds look “too hot” (RSI = a gauge of how fast prices have been rising). If they are, it buys UVXY, a fund that jumps when volatility spikes. If not, it builds 5 candidates using a simple trend test (12‑ vs 26‑day averages) across U.S. stocks, bonds, gold, EM stocks, and volatility, mapping to ETFs like SPXL, TECL, TMF, UGL, EEM, VXX or BIL. It then picks the one that looks least “hot” and holds it until tomorrow. Many picks are 2–3x leveraged, so risk is high.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample results hint at strong upside: ~51% annualized return vs ~29% for the S&P 500, with Calmar ~2.12 and Sharpe ~0.97. Expect higher drawdowns (~24% vs ~14%), but meaningful long-run growth potential.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
