About
A market-timing strategy that uses emerging-market stocks vs bonds as a signal: when conditions look favorable, it owns a mixed basket of sector and commodity trades; when not, it moves mostly to cash.
Each day, it asks one big question: have emerging-market stocks (EEM) been doing better recently than emerging-market bonds (EMLC)? If yes, it invests in a mix of sectors like chips, healthcare, insurance, housing, and a special natural-gas trade.
If no, it pulls back and keeps almost everything in cash, with only tiny positions in a few defensive or hedging funds.
Out-of-sample strengths: Sharpe 1.77 vs 1.16, max drawdown ~6% vs ~19% for SPY, Calmar ~3.0. Annualized return ~17.7% vs 18.7% for SPY—yet you get far better downside protection and smoother risk, not just chasing recent gains.
