About

Own eBay when its price is above its 50‑day average; otherwise own NVIDIA. Checked daily, holding one stock at a time. Simple trend-following, but highly concentrated and can switch often around the trend line.
NutHow it works
Each day, it checks eBay’s price against its 50-day average price (the average closing price over the last 50 trading days). If today’s price is higher, it buys/holds eBay (EBAY), an online marketplace company. If not, it switches to NVIDIA (NVDA), a maker of chips used in AI and graphics. It keeps 100% in whichever stock qualifies.
CheckmarkValue prop
Two-stock trend rotation (EBAY/NVDA) delivered 13.39% out-of-sample annualized return with positive risk-adjusted performance, aiming to beat the S&P in trending markets. Simple, rules-based, but with higher drawdowns and concentration risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
