About
A mostly smooth, diversified portfolio with a smaller aggressive tech bet. When Nasdaq gets unusually hot, it trims that risk and adds fear-based hedges.
This strategy puts most of the money (70%) in DBMF, a fund that follows market trends across stocks, bonds, currencies, and commodities to help smooth the ride.
The other 30% aims for growth through TQQQ, a very aggressive fund tied to the Nasdaq-100 (big tech-heavy companies like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and Alphabet).
Each day it checks whether QQQ, a regular Nasdaq-100 fund, has risen too far too fast using RSI, a score from 0 to 100 based on recent price moves. The higher the score, the more “overheated” the market may be.
As that score gets very high, the strategy gradually swaps part of TQQQ into VIXY and UVXY, funds that tend to rise when stock-market fear spikes. In plain English: it normally leans bullish, but adds more crash protection when tech looks stretched.
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers higher long-run growth (≈25.1% annualized) vs the S&P 500 (≈19.8%), with solid risk-adjusted metrics (Calmar ~0.98). Diversified trend-following plus Nasdaq hedges aim for smoother gains and crash protection.
