About
A daily Nasdaq strategy that holds QQQ most of the time, shifts part of the portfolio into volatility funds when tech looks overheated, and uses leveraged QQQ funds after sharp pullbacks.
This strategy watches QQQ, a fund built around big Nasdaq stocks like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, Google, Meta, and Tesla. It uses a 14-day RSI, which is a simple “how stretched has the recent move been?” score.
If QQQ has risen very fast, the strategy cuts back and moves part of the money into VIXY/UVXY, funds that usually jump when markets get scary. If QQQ has fallen hard, it le-leans into the dip with QLD or TQQQ, which are turbocharged versions of QQQ. In normal conditions, it mostly just holds QQQ.
Higher upside: out-of-sample annualized return ~24.4% vs S&P 18.8%. Solid risk-adjusted profile (Calmar ~1.06) with volatility hedges and Nasdaq leverage to capture tech gains. Drawdowns can be larger (~23%).
