About

An aggressive, rules-based “buy the dip, sell the rip” strategy. It rides leveraged tech/semis on rebounds, flips to VIX or inverse ETFs when markets look overheated, and uses bond/commodity signals as traffic lights to switch between offense and defense. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
It’s a rules-based swing trader. Each day it checks if stocks are stretched up or down using RSI (a quick “overbought/oversold” gauge). On dips, it buys fast movers (mainly 3x tech/semis like TQQQ, SOXL). On spikes, it hedges with VIX funds (UVXY) or inverse ETFs (SQQQ, SOXS). Bonds and commodities act as traffic lights—if they flash risk-off, it shifts to bond longs/shorts (TMF/TMV), cash-like T‑bills, or other defensive trades. It sometimes rotates into ARK/crypto when their short-term momentum improves.
CheckmarkValue prop
Regime-aware swing strategy chasing tech rebounds with hedges and macro filters. Out-of-sample: ~16.7% annualized return, Sharpe ~0.56, Calmar ~0.34. Aims for upside vs S&P with risk controls, but sizable drawdowns (~49%) can occur.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
