A symphony is an automated trading strategy — Learn more about symphonies here

About

Daily, it buys QQQ or SPY only when they look oversold (10‑day RSI < 30). Otherwise, it splits money between whichever is more beaten‑down among Consumer Staples, Health Care, or an investment‑grade bond fund.
NutHow it works
Each day: 1) If QQQ (tracks the tech‑heavy Nasdaq‑100) has a 10‑day RSI below 30—an “oversold” score meaning it fell fast—put 100% in QQQ. 2) Else, if SPY (tracks the S&P 500) is below 30, put 100% in SPY. 3) Else, split 50/50 by picking the more oversold in each pair: Consumer Staples (XLP) vs Invesco Bond Fund (VBF), and Health Care (XLV) vs VBF.
CheckmarkValue prop
A daily RSI-driven mean-reversion rotation that shifts to defensives or bonds when equities aren’t oversold. Out-of-sample: beta ~0.25, Calmar ~1.44, ~7.4% annualized return. Lower risk, added diversification versus SPY’s higher, bumpy return.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
