About

Daily, rules rotate between cash, leveraged tech, shorts/vol hedges, Treasuries, gold, and emerging markets using hot/cold (RSI), trend, and fear gauges. Goal: ride uptrends and sidestep or profit from selloffs. Very active and high risk.
NutHow it works
Each day it asks: 1) Is the market trending up? 2) Is it “hot” or “cold” (RSI = a quick hot/cold meter)? 3) Is fear rising (VIX funds like UVXY/VIXY)? Calm uptrends: it rides fast movers (often tech: TQQQ, SOXL, TECL or top mega‑caps). Overheated or fearful: it hedges/shorts (SQQQ/TECS/SOXS or VIX funds) or moves to T‑Bills (BIL/SHV). Falling hard: it favors Treasuries (TLT/TMF) or sometimes gold (UGL/GLL). It also flips emerging markets (EDC/EDZ). Positions can change daily; leverage adds risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe ~2.79 vs SPY ~1.44 and Calmar ~22.5, with daily risk-on/off rotations across tech, bonds, gold, and EM. A stronger risk-adjusted edge and diversified hedges vs the S&P—though occasional drawdowns in stressed markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
