About

A daily, tactical strategy: short stocks hard when fear surges, buy tech dips (or hide in bonds after sharp bounces), and otherwise ride the long‑term winner between U.S. stocks and commodities. Uses 3x ETFs—expect high volatility.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks “fear” and recent moves, then picks one holding. - If the volatility ETF (VIXM) has been rising strongly (RSI = a score of recent ups vs downs; high means strong rise), it buys SPXU (a fund that rises 3x when the S&P 500 falls). - Else, if the Nasdaq-100 (QQQ) fell >3% in 5 days: if yesterday the 3x Nasdaq fund (TQQQ) jumped >5%, it parks in short-term bonds (BSV); otherwise it buys TQQQ. - If none of that, it holds the long‑term winner between U.S. stocks (SPY) and commodities (DBC) using several lookback periods.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~20.4% annualized return vs SPY ~17.1%, driven by tactical risk-on/off shifts and tech-dip plays. Higher upside with diversified regimes, but larger drawdowns due to leverage—aiming for stronger long-run growth than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
