About

Buys 3x tech/semiconductor ETFs after quick drops; otherwise parks in short‑term Treasuries or a defensive mix. Uses trend, overbought/oversold, and drawdown guards. High risk: leverage and volatility can amplify losses quickly.
NutHow it works
It watches QQQ (Nasdaq‑100) and SOXX (semis). If either falls hard in ~a week (QQQ ≈‑4%, SOXX ≈‑5%), it buys the 3x version (TQQQ or SOXL) to ride a rebound. If no dip or risk rises, it parks in short‑term Treasuries (SHY/BSV) or a defensive mix (gold, dollar, long Treasuries). Uses simple gauges: RSI (speed/overheat), moving averages (trend), and drawdown (drop from peak) to switch.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets far higher upside in tech/semis (≈81% annualized) vs S&P ≈27%, with Calmar ≈2.76 and Sharpe ≈1.49. Expect drawdowns near ~29%, but guards and bond hedges aim to manage risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
