About

Rules-based, daily macro strategy in USD, gold, and bitcoin using short-term momentum (RSI). Key funds: UUP/UDN=USD up/down; GLD=gold; UGL/GLL & NUGT/JDST=2x gold/miners; BITO/BITI/GBTC=bitcoin long/short/trust. Includes leveraged ETFs.
NutHow it works
It’s a daily rules-based macro plan that trades the US dollar, gold (and gold miners), and bitcoin using short-term momentum. RSI is a 0–100 speedometer: high = stretched up; low = stretched down. • Gold sleeve: if gold looks very hot it shorts gold/miners; if very cold it buys them; big 1‑week pops are faded. Otherwise it leans on the dollar’s RSI to mix gold, dollar, and bitcoin. • Two other sleeves read many bond funds as “risk thermometers.” If they read risk‑on, it pairs weak USD + long bitcoin (or short‑gold); if risk‑off, strong USD + short bitcoin (or long‑gold). Uses some 2x funds, so swings can be big.
CheckmarkValue prop
Macro strategy in USD, gold, and bitcoin with daily rebalancing; out-of-sample return ~10.2%, max drawdown ~5%, Calmar ~2.02, and low S&P beta ~0.19—providing diversification and downside protection vs a pure S&P position.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
