About

A daily, rules-based switcher. If tech looks overheated, it hides in T‑bills with a small volatility hedge. In downtrends it favors calm, defensive assets; in uptrends it owns growth sectors and adds broad stocks only when short‑term momentum is strong.
NutHow it works
Daily steps: 1) If a short‑term “speed” score (RSI, a gauge of how fast price climbed recently) on a tech fund (VGT) is very high, move mostly to T‑bills (BIL) plus a small volatility hedge (VIXY). 2) Else, if the S&P 500 (SPY) is below its ~4‑month average, rotate into calmer, defensive picks (healthcare, staples, gold, USD, bonds). 3) If SPY is above that average, hold growth sectors (tech, health, consumer, Europe) and, only when momentum is strong, add SPY/financials; otherwise use core bonds (AGG). Weights favor steadier assets.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, a risk-managed, rules-based strategy with strong downside protection vs the S&P 500: drawdowns ~9.7% vs 18.8%, beta ~0.45, Calmar ~0.81, plus diversified exposure for steadier growth.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
