About

Bitcoin-led, dynamic long/short equity strategy using 3x leveraged ETFs. If Bitcoin (via GBTC) is above its 200-day trend, go long the more volatile of UDOW or TQQQ. If Bitcoin is weak, go short SDOW or SQQQ based on momentum, but if SPY looks weak, move to cash via BIL. Rebalanced daily with equal cash weighting. High-risk, high-reward, tuned to Bitcoin signals and SPY regime.
NutHow it works
- Step 1: Check Bitcoin signal using GBTC. If GBTC shows an uptrend vs its 200-day trend (EMA vs SMA), go long with a 3x leveraged stock bet. The choice is between UDOW (3x Dow) and TQQQ (3x NASDAQ-100); pick the one that has been more volatile recently. - Step 2: If Bitcoin signal is weak, shift to a defensive stance by evaluating two 3x inverse ETFs—SDOW and SQQQ—based on their very short-term momentum (RSI over a small window). - Step 3: Market regime check with SPY. If SPY’s short-term trend exceeds its long-term trend, proceed with the chosen inverse levered ETF; if not, switch to BIL (short-term Treasuries) for cash-like exposure. - Step 4: Weights are kept equal (cash-equivalent) and rebalanced daily across the chosen exposure(s). The overall aim is to take aggressive leverage in regimes signaled by Bitcoin strength and retreat to hedges/cash in weaker regimes, with SPY as the market-health gauge. - The system uses windows like 200 days (volatility screens), 50 days (some moving-average comparison for BTC proxy), 15 days and 250 days (SPY regime check), and a 3-day RSI (momentum for inverse ETFs). - This is an opportunistic, risk-on/risk-off framework, not a long-term buy-and-hold allocation. Expect high turnover and large swings with leverage.
CheckmarkValue prop
Bitcoin-led, dynamically levered (3x) long/short with daily rebalancing. Seeks crypto-driven upside when BTC strengthens and hedges when weak, adding non-correlated SPY exposure. OOS: ~12.9% vs SPY ~18.2%, higher drawdowns but diversification.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
