About

A daily, rule‑based portfolio that rotates across stocks, gold/miners, bonds, cash‑like T‑Bills, and volatility. It uses trend and overbought/oversold signals, with many safety rails. Heavily gold‑aware and sometimes uses leveraged ETFs to buy dips or hedge spikes.
NutHow it works
It checks markets daily and shifts between offense and defense. Two tools: trend (price vs its moving average—average of last X days) and overbought/oversold (RSI, a 0–100 speedometer: low≈oversold, high≈overbought). Sleeves rotate among: tech/S&P stocks, a large gold sleeve (gold and miners, sometimes inverse), long Treasuries, cash‑like T‑Bills, and volatility ETFs. Weak signals → T‑Bills.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe 2.98 vs 2.37; drawdown 3.38% vs 5.07%; Calmar 8.12; annualized return ~27.40% vs SPY ~28.02%. Diversified, rule-based sleeves deliver better risk-adjusted returns with smaller drawdowns than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
