About
A market-timing strategy that usually owns US tech and the S&P 500, but quickly shifts into volatility hedges, bearish positions, or cash when markets look too hot, too weak, or unstable.
This strategy usually invests in two stock funds: VGT (US technology stocks) and SPY (the S&P 500).
Each day, it checks whether the market looks overheated, deeply sold off, or weak. If markets look too hot too fast, it shifts into crash-protection holdings like UVXY plus defensive hedges. If markets look washed out, it buys VGT/SPY. If the trend turns weak, it may move to cash-like T-bills or bet against the Nasdaq.
Tech-forward, rule-based strategy with crash hedges. Out-of-sample, beta ≈0.5 and downside protection; drawdowns similar to the S&P—provides diversification and a smoother ride in volatile markets.
