About
A daily switch: stay in SPY (S&P 500) unless several bond funds show strong short‑term momentum (high RSI). When they do, rotate to a Safety mix of bond‑heavy funds (IQI, JHI) plus SPE to try to cut stock‑market drawdowns.
Each day it checks a few bond‑focused funds (FCO, PPT, FAX, MGF and a Saba closed‑end‑fund gauge). It uses RSI, a 0–100 “speed” score where high = price rising fast. If any of these bond funds are very strong, it moves to a Safety basket: equal parts IQI and JHI (municipal‑bond funds) plus SPE (a special‑situations fund). If none are strong, it holds SPY (an S&P 500 stock fund). Rebalances daily.
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers stronger risk-adjusted performance than SPY: Sharpe ~2.90 vs ~2.81, Calmar ~7.1, beta ~0.86, and ~5% max drawdown vs ~5.07%. It shifts to a bond-heavy Safety basket on momentum signals to preserve capital.
