About

A daily 50/50 tactical mix: buys dips in leveraged tech/semis/health care when the Nasdaq is cold, rotates to safer picks when it’s neutral, and uses UVXY as a crash hedge when the Nasdaq runs hot. Also favors the lowest‑drawdown choices.
NutHow it works
It splits your money 50/50 between two rule sets. Both watch a quick “heat” score (RSI) on the Nasdaq (QQQ) and S&P 500 (SPY): - If Nasdaq looks red‑hot, it shifts that half into UVXY (a volatility spike hedge). - If Nasdaq looks washed‑out, it buys beaten‑down leveraged tech/semis/health care (e.g., TQQQ/TECL/SOXL/ROM/CURE/USD). - Otherwise it picks steadier choices: bonds (AGG/SHY/MINT), dollar (UUP), gold (DGP), or the 2 funds with the lowest recent drawdown. Rebalanced daily; backtested since 2011.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~46% annualized return vs ~16% for the S&P, Sharpe ~1.54 vs ~0.89, and drawdown ~13.7% vs ~18.8%. A 50/50 tactical mix with hedges aims to grow faster while reducing risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
