About
A simple market-timing strategy: own the S&P 500 when stock trends are healthy; otherwise move mostly to cash, with small positions in bonds, managed futures, and funds that profit from falling stocks.
This strategy is either all-in on the U.S. stock market or mostly in defense mode.
If either the S&P 500 or the tech-heavy Nasdaq falls below its 200-day average (a common long-term trend line), it moves to defense: about 80% cash-like Treasury bills, 2% bonds, 10% managed futures, and 10% funds that rise when stocks fall.
If both trends look healthy, it owns SPY, which tracks the S&P 500.
Strong risk-adjusted edge vs the S&P: ~16% annual return with only ~2% max drawdown, Sharpe ~1.56, Calmar ~7.9. Auto trend shifts to cash/defense and hedges preserve capital during downturn while staying invested in rallies.
