About

A momentum portfolio that holds only two stocks at a time—one winner from a growth list and one from a smaller/volatile list—based on the strongest 90‑day trend. Rebalanced weekly. Very concentrated; expect frequent changes and sharp ups/downs.
NutHow it works
Each week it scans two preset stock lists: (1) larger growth names and (2) smaller, more volatile names. It measures each stock’s 3‑month performance trend and picks the top one from each list. The portfolio holds just those two stocks, 50/50, and rotates when new leaders appear. Expect frequent trades and big swings.
CheckmarkValue prop
Two-stock momentum with weekly rebalances shows strong OOS risk-adjusted gains: Sharpe ~3.05 vs SPY ~−0.02, Calmar ~30.7, and outsized OOS return. Potential upside from leader stocks, but expect higher drawdowns and concentration risk than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
